Kaushik Ghosal brings extensive drug development expertise in neuroscience, stem cells, and cancer therapeutics from start-up biotech companies to national leaders in patient care. Prior to joining BioMotiv, Kaushik worked at Cleveland Clinic where he led several therapeutic drug development programs focused on inflammation, stem cells, and neurological disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease, epilepsy, and autism spectrum disorder. At Cleveland Clinic, Kaushik advised various biomedical companies in different business development and strategic roles and he was awarded the ADDF Outstanding Young Investigator Scholarship for his contributions. Kaushik also serves as the Director of Research and Development for ReXceptor Inc., a drug development start-up focused on neurological disorders. At ReXceptor, Kaushik held various leadership roles in clinical trials and strategic partnership development and served as the Principal Investigator on NIH funded STTR.
Kaushik has authored several journal and review articles and serves on the editorial boards of multiple scientific journals. He holds a M.S. degree in Biotechnology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay and a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Miami University. He serves as a grant reviewer for Agence Nationale de la Recherche, France and SBIR/STTR for NIH.
