Dr. Corona is a Business Development Manager with a major role in securing non-dilutive funding to promote the interests of the subsidiaries of BioMotiv. She brings expertise in discovering and exploring key funding opportunities, fostering collaborations for the highest-quality grantsmanship, and managing the ongoing goals and development of portfolio companies.
Prior to joining BioMotiv, Dr. Corona was a Post-doctoral Research Fellow in the Alzheimer’s Disease Research Laboratory at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH. As a neuroscientist, Dr. Corona studied the neuroimmunology of neurodegenerative diseases and aging, with a special focus on regulation of microglia, lipid metabolism, and psychiatric dysfunction in mouse models of disease. For this work she was awarded a Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award from the NIH. Her work is published in more than a dozen primary research and review articles and has been presented at multiple international conferences.
Dr. Corona completed her Ph.D. in Neuroscience at the Ohio State University. Dr. Corona holds her B.S. in Biochemistry from Binghamton University.
